Welcome to MSAM 2022!
Organized by Shandong University of Science and Technology and co-organized by Chinese Journal of Applied Mechanics, The 5th International Conference on Material Strength and Applied Mechanics (MSAM 2022) is scheduled to be held on August 19-22, 2022 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China. As an annual conference, MSAM2022 will continue to provide an international platform to facilitate the exchange of information, among scientists, technologists, engineers worldwide who are engaged in basic or applied research, technology development, application and innovation in the field of material strength and applied mechanics.
The plenary session will include Keynote Speeches, Invited Speeches, Oral and Poster Presentations.
Qingdao, located in the southeast part of Shandong Province, is one of the most beautiful coastal cities in China. Neighboring the Yellow Sea (Huang Hai), it has a temperate monsoon climate with distinct marine features. All four seasons are mild without extreme cold or hot temperatures. People can explore cultural relics like churches, historic architecture and former residence of celebrities in the Qingdao Old Town while viewing beautiful natural landscapes including parks, bathing beaches in coastal areas. Qingdao Port has been open to 177 ports around the world, bringing Qingdao to the most prosperous city in Shandong Province.

1.MSAM 2022 has concluded successfully in Qingdao, China & Online via Microsoft Teams on August 22, 2022. The conference has been participated by about 120 on-site attendees and over 100 online participants from 25 countries and regions. [August 23, 2022]2.There are some adjustments on MSAM 2022 Conference Date considering the Covid situation. MSAM 2022 will be held on August 19-22, 2022 instead of originally scheduled date April 15-18, 2022. Thanks for your notice and understanding! [Nov. 23, 2021]
3. MSAM 2021 Conference Proceedings have been published in Journal of Physics: Conference Series in Vol. 2047 and indexed by Ei Compendex and Scopus etc.. [Oct. 26, 2021]
4. Selected papers from MSAM 2021 recommended to SCI Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics have been published on Vol 59, No. 4, 2021 and indexed by Science Citation Index. [Oct. 22, 2021]
5. MSAM2021 was held successfully on August 16-19, 2021. The conference has attracted around a hundred participants from 27 countries. 4 keynote speeches and 60 oral presentations in 4 sections were delivered virtually with fruitful results on the latest trends of materials strength and applied mechanics. 14 posters were displayed on the website which open for in-depth discussion and communication.
